Experienced Drivers
How can you hate on someone who has logged over 2,400,000 miles behind the wheel in their lifetime?? Practice makes perfect, and these people have had about 57 years of practice. So what does that make them?
Indecisive drivers, some would call these people the terror on the streets, I like to call them cautious drivers, I might even go as far as to say angels of the highway. Can someone tell me what is wrong with going 55 in a 70, or 35 in a 55, because not only are these saints looking out for their own safety, but ladies and gents they are looking out for yours too. So I’m asking you to dropthehate on these indecisive drivers.
What really gets me, is people have so much anger that they have to lay on their horns, or have a very weird way of telling these people they are numero uno. Now this wouldn’t bother me so bad if the majority of indecisive drivers were not people over 65 or female. Let’s have a little respect for our elders eh, and that woman is someone’s mother or daughter, think about that Intimidator.
Just the other day I witnessed an incident while driving of some road raging ego maniac almost rear ending a lady, aged around 75, slamming on her brakes going through an intersection. The driver needless to say had some few choice words for that nice old woman, who I would assume was taking baked goods to her son and grand children. Now this fine lady was just making sure that no one was going to run a red light and smash into her or even worse the guy behind her. She was just looking out for him, sure the light had been green for 30 seconds, but that is neither here nor there.
This lady I would imagine passed her last eye exam 20 years ago, and renewed her license when she hit 65. She has every right as the next person out there, strike that, I’ve been told that it is a privilege to drive ever since I got the keys to my car. And she has got a lot more experience driving then you buster! I mean what, she’s been driving for like 60 years. Tell me who has more of a privilege to drive?
Just remember that according to the national survey for on the road accidents, that 95% of the accidents involving an indecisive driver, the other driver is the one that hits the poor angel of the highway. So I say to you my fellow drivers of the world, respect those who think over their decisions 15 times before they change lanes or slam on their brakes when they see another car no matter how close in proximity, for these people are looking out for everyone’s best interests.
Serenity Now,
J. Roger
